Norway 2010: Day 1,2 (Dublin – Harwich)

Day 1:

Checking out safari room before departure

Checking out safari room before departure

Everything packed, we headed off early to catch the 8:20 Stenaline Ferry from Dublin Port.  We would have preferred Dun Laoghaire but it was more expensive.

It was a relaxing and smooth crossing.  Free WI-FI.  Arrived before noon and headed off on the 444km journey to North West London for a quick visit with relatives.  “Wild” camping on the road outside the house.

Day 2:

Did some grocery shopping and filled with diesel at the local Tesco. Headed off on M25, A12, A120 to Harwich.  Arrived ahead of time for 17:45 DFDS Ferry to Esbjerg (Denmark) and made lunch in nearby shopping centre car park.

We boarded ship and headed for Denmark.
